Brief Description:
Yagan Square marks the festive gateway to Perth’s Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail, showcasing Christmas Tree Lane—a 40-metre illuminated tunnel of lights, music, and projections. From late November to 28 December 2025, it offers nightly snowfall, roaming performers, and carols, making it a central family-friendly hub within the free CBD-wide event.
Programs & Age Groups:
Christmas Tree Lane (all ages): A 40m light-filled tunnel experience, perfect for families and festive photos.
Snowfall in the City (all ages): Every 15 minutes from 7:00pm to 9:15pm (28 Nov – 24 Dec), enjoy magical snowfall near the tunnel.
Cheeky Christmas Characters (all ages): From 12–24 December, meet playful roaming performers nightly from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

Cost Guide:
This is a free public event, open nightly as part of the Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail.
What to Bring:
Wear festive or weather-appropriate clothing, bring a camera for photo ops, and arrive early for the best viewing and experience.

Visit between 7–8pm to enjoy snowfall, avoid late-night crowds, and capture photos before kids get too tired.
