Brief Description:

The Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail transforms Perth CBD into a vibrant, illuminated wonderland with 22 dazzling displays over 3.5km. Running nightly from 28 November to 28 December 2025, the trail features interactive installations, music-synced lights, projections, and family-friendly entertainment—all free and accessible, with a shorter Merry Mile route for younger visitors and prams.

Programs & Age Groups:

Main Trail (all ages): 22 light displays across the CBD, ideal for families, couples, and friends exploring on foot.

Merry Mile (family-friendly): 1.6km accessible route designed for young children and those requiring easier access.

Santa Visits (ages 3+): Council House meet-and-greets from 5–24 December, 6:30–8:30 pm.

Schedule:

28 November – 28 December 2025, open nightly from 6:00pm to 1:00am. Light projections begin around 7:45pm after sunset. Guided tours on Fridays and Saturdays from 5–20 December (7:00–8:30pm). Audio-described tours 9–17 December.

Cost Guide:

This is a free public event. No ticket is required for the trail or entertainment.

What to Bring:
