The Lolly Run - Kwinana
About the activity
What the Lolly Run Is:
The Lolly Run is a long-running Christmas tradition in the City of Kwinana where decorated trucks and local brigades travel through suburbs delivering free lolly bags to children. Santa and helpers hand out lollies directly to kids on verges and in local parks, bringing festive cheer to neighbourhood streets over several evenings.
How to Follow and Take Part:
Families can check suburb timetables and live-track the Lolly Run trucks via the City of Kwinana’s website and social media. Listen for festive music and truck beeps to know when they're near. Residents are encouraged to wear something Christmassy and wait safely on verges—not on the road.
Extra Neighbourhood Activities:
To add to the fun, the City offers “Street Meet” grants of up to $150 so neighbours can host casual verge gatherings with games or snacks while they wait. These mini street parties foster local connection and community spirit.
Dates:
Wednesday 17 December to Tuesday 23 December 2025 (inclusive).
Suburbs are scheduled across different nights. For example, Medina, Honeywood, and Apsley on 17 December, Wellard Village on 18 December, and others on following evenings.
Times:
The Lolly Run takes place each evening between approximately 5:00pm and 8:30pm. Families should be ready during this window and use the live tracker to know when to head outside.
Cost:
This is a free community event. There is no cost to attend or receive lollies.
Optional “Street Meet” events are eligible for up to $150 in funding support from the City of Kwinana, but there is no entry fee for participation.
